Renault TRIBER Specifications | Make it an Ideal Family Car
Unlike the US, Indian youngsters generally don’t stay away from their families after a particular age. It is quite common for Indian households to have two or three generations staying together under the same roof. My family also is a 3 generation household. My mother, wife, son, daughter-in-law, and grand-daughter stay in the same house. We have a family business of trading and my son helps me run that business, just like I assisted my father while he was alive.Staying together has its advantages. But, it has disadvantages too. For instance, traveling together is a difficult task. Earlier when I had a sedan, whenever we had to travel together for some event or a family function, we had to hire one more car.
One such recent incident prompted us to upgrade ourselves to a 7 seater car that not only has ample luggage space but can easily seat our family. There were not many options available in this category though. While I was evaluating the options, I realized that it was difficult to get space and price in the same quadrant except for one car. The Renault TRIBER specifications impressed us, unlike the other 7-seaters.
The TRIBER is a sub-4 meter car which clearly means that parking it in tight spots, driving in heavy traffic situations and the overall experience is very easy. With its ability to easily accommodate adult passengers in the last row, the car is very spacious. Its 1-liter engine produces enough power to help us zoom even when fully loaded.
However, the best feature of the car is its modular seating arrangement. Within seconds, the car can be converted into a 2, 4, 5, 6, or a 7-seater. This not only makes sure that the passengers sit in comfort but also ensures that there’s enough space to carry all the luggage.
The interiors too are ergonomically designed, making them ideal for both short and long haul, even for senior citizens like my mother.
One of the primary reasons for not considering a 7-seater earlier was its price. Till the Renault TRIBER arrived, a decent 7-seater would cost anything upwards of Rs. 7.5 to 8 Lacs. However, with a price tag starting at just Rs. 5.20 Lacs (ex. Showroom Delhi), the TRIBER offered us a phenomenal option on this front too!
The car offers safety with advanced features like EBS with EBD, Airbags, reverse parking sensors, etc. It is also high on the aesthetics and ergonomics with rich upholstery, LED instrument cluster, 20.32 cm Touchscreen panel, and 2nd & 3rd row AC vents. The Renault TRIBER specifications are also high when it comes to comfort. With the best-in-class ground clearance of 182 mm, the TRIBER takes every pothole or speed breaker in its stride without causing any discomfort to passengers inside.
All in all, my family is really happy that I abandoned the idea of buying a second sedan and got a Renault TRIBER instead. Finally, we can travel together as a unit and have loads of fun on our short and long journeys.
